General Manager Lesa Allen wanted to reach out and help the community surrounding the TownePlace Suites she manages in Charlotte, NC. School had just begun for nearby Nations Ford Elementary and school supplies had grown more expensive, costing families 88% more than 10 years ago.  Lesa and her team decided they could make a difference by donating what the children of Nations Ford needed! Two large storage totes were placed in the back office. The staff worked hard to fill them by buying and contributing supplies of their own. Soon hotel employees had donated enough supplies that another container needed to be purchased! With this donation, the children at Nations Ford Elementary will have pencils, crayons and paper to learn. It was also an incredible team-building exercise for the TownePlace Suites’ crew in Charlotte.  Getting them out in the community and letting them experience the spirit of giving.
